Pastor Columbia Christian Fellowship Columbia, SC Category: Senior Pastor Posted on: October 26, 2007
Job Description:
Columbia Christian Fellowship of Columbia, South Carolina, is a multi-cultural church seeking a Senior Pastor to lead us in our mission --
to provide a Christ-centered, inviting fellowship to both our immediate neighborhood and the surrounding Columbia area.
OUR STORY
CCF originated in the early 70's as an effort by a few black and white families who saw the need to be a witness as a fellowship that met,
worshiped and truly existed in community across racial lines. Since then we have grown into a church that is not only racially diverse
(we're about 60-40 black and white), but economically and educationally diverse as well.
We come from many different backgrounds, with a common goal to love each other, to be the light of Christ to the world around us,
and be a vehicle through which God is transforming lives. CCF exists in an urban environment, including members from across the city.
We are business people, blue collar workers, seminary professors, doctors and students. We know the challenges of ministering to so
many different people, but we believe it can be done! We are looking for someone who will help us as we continue to grow as the Body of Christ.
We want those applying to know that while we have members with a variety of practices, we as a church do not hold to a "Second Baptism" of the Holy Spirit with speaking in tongues as a required sign of this baptism. Also, though we encourage women to engage in the ministry of our church, including ministering in leadership positions, we do not allow women to hold the office of elder or pastor, and so are not looking for a woman or a husband/wife "co-pastor" team as our senior pastor. Please feel free to check out our Constitution and Statement of Faith on our website (www.ccfellowship.com) for more information!

1. A demonstrated call to pastoral ministry.
2. A good communicator, communicating the Word of God to many kinds of listeners.
3. A committed follower of Jesus Christ, compassionate, good listener, patient, trustworthy.

5. We encourage all pastors meeting the above qualifications and requirements to apply regardless of race or ethnicity.
