General Description This is a part-time position for the position of Children's Ministry Director for Solano Community Church. The approximate time commitment will be 15 hours per week.
Solano Community Church is located in Albany, CA and is part of the Evangelical Free Church of America. Our vision is to make loving God and neighbor an everyday reality. We value the teaching and building up of our children and are looking for a part-time Children's Ministry director for our 60-member congregation. We hope to build and develop a children's ministry that can teach our K-8 children about Jesus Christ, and equip them to be better Christ followers. In addition to helping our current children grow in the Lord, we envision the children's ministry reaching out to children and their parents in the community.
Job Responsibilities 1. Recruit teachers and helpers
2. Develop weekly teaching plan
3. Coordinate teaching schedule for volunteer teachers
4. Develop a concrete vision for the ministry
5. Oversee outreach activities associated with ministry
6. Disciple & shepherd children ministry members
7. Oversee the administration of the following ministries:
· Sunday school
· Nursery
· Possible Vacation Bible School
Qualifications/Requirements 1. Must be a Christian of good character
2. Must be in full agreement with Solano Community Church's Statement of Faith
3. Must have the gift of teaching, shepherding, and administration
4. Must have a passion for seeing children grow in Christ
5. Experience working with children
6. Experience recruiting and managing volunteers
