Job Description:
Bethany Church is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Director of Children’s Ministry. Its primary function is to serve Christ through leadership and organization of the children’s programs at Bethany, including Sunday/Saturday School, Mid-week Fellowship, VBS, and other special events. The foundational approach to success in this ministry is through equipping lay servants. Responsibilities include but are not limited to developing vision with the Lead Pastor and staff advisory board, maintaining a leadership team, executing programs, creating exciting environments, and preparing 5th graders for transition into youth ministry. The Children’s Director works in close coordination with other staff members as part of Family ministry and discipleship.
Requirements: superior organization and initiative, excellent relational skills, appropriate handling of confidential matters, positive/persevering attitude, and computer literate (knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office preferred).
Qualifications: children’s ministry leadership experience and a degree in Christian education; or a combination of a secular education degree plus extensive ministry experience.
This position reports to the Lead Pastor. It may be filled as one full-time or two part-time positions; salary is negotiable based on experience and education.

His arranging has appeared on recordings side by side with greats like Gene Puerling and David Maddux, and he has sung with Don Shelton, Bonnie Herman and Bob Bowker, among others.
