Congregational Music Team Leader CrossWay Fellowship Manassas, VA Category: Music Minister & Worship Pastor Posted on: February 18, 2007
Job Description:
The Crossway Fellowship Congregational Music Team Leader (CMTL) will skillfully employ the vocal and instrumental gifts of the Music Team to lead the congregation to cherish and celebrate the person and work of the Triune God. He will accomplish this through lyrics that are biblically sound, a commitment to excellence, and use of musical moods that range from contemplative to confessional to celebratory. He will employ a variety of music based in a contemporary approach, but that also reflects the rich tradition of the church. He will be mindful of the framework of the Bible, the state of the congregation, and the culture beyond the sphere of the church.
The CMTL must have three to five years of leadership experience in contemporary worship. He must also be 1) a disciple of Jesus Christ, growing in faith and obedience; 2) a worshiper with a passionate personal devotional life, who worships as he leads; 3) a team player who embraces a philosophy of music and worship similar to that of the Senior Pastor; and 4) gifted with the ability to plan, sing, play an instrument (highly desirable), sight read (desirable), lead, and work in fellowship with the Music Team and the congregation.
