B. Strategic Role Summary:
This pastor will direct and oversee a staff and ministry to approx 2,500 children from ages 0-5th grade. Emphasis is placed on small group ministry and inter-generational ministry. Must have ability to build teams, delegate responsibility and ensure all programs are in-line biblically with teaching and practice
C. Key Responsibilities (Essential Output):
1) Oversee Hosanna! Kid’s Ministries staff to set vision, ensure quality of ministry and programming and ensure accurate biblical teaching
2) Ensure the quality HALO, First Look, Hosanna! Preschool and Splash teams.
• A ministry team made up of both staff and volunteer leaders runs each program.
• Each program leads kids into age-appropriate small groups.
Each program incorporates components of invitation, equipping, and deploying of individuals.
3) Ensure the quality of small groups in all Hosannas! Kid’s ministries by raising up and equipping small group leaders and coaches. Work with the small group team to ensure foundational small group concepts are taught
4) Participate as a member of the Pastor’s team by attending bi-weekly Pastor’s Team meetings, performing pastoral duties of counseling (kids and families), baptisms (infants and children), communion, weddings, funerals and speaking and teaching as needed
5) Interact with parents and volunteer ministry leaders in trainings, publications, equipping, etc
