Job Description:
Dynamic, purpose-driven church in fast growing community of NW Austin, Texas is seeking a second Small Groups Pastor to lead a vibrant, expanding small group ministry in the following areas: recruiting small group leaders, team building, teaching (large and small group settings), personal discipling, coaching and mentoring, strategic planning, vision casting, and mobilizing people into authentic biblical community.
There are currently 180 Small Groups at Hill Country Bible Church NW, helping people live out our church purpose…We are a family of believers committed to reaching people with the life-changing reality of Jesus Christ. The Small Groups Pastors equip the small group leaders to pursue the fulfillment of this purpose.
Key characteristics for this position are:
1. Three or more years leadership experience in a major ministry or large organization.
2. Recruiting staff and volunteers to support future growth
3. Communicating effectively in small (10-50), large (100-500) and extra large (1000+) group settings
4. Planning, execution and evaluation of a ministry plan to achieve the Measures of Success for the Small Groups Ministry
5. Personal coaching and mentoring at the staff, regional and area shepherd levels
6. Vision-casting that inspires and motivates the entire organization
7. Creating and overseeing major campaigns and promotions
8. Curriculum development input and oversight
9. Building and participating on effective teams to accomplish the goals and objectives of the ministry
10. Capable of flourishing in an elder-led, highly accountable environment.

Paul's work includes arranging for groups like GLAD, Voices of Liberty, VoiceTrek, The Chicago based "Caroling Party" and Day of Discovery Singers. His arranging has appeared on recordings side by side with greats like Gene Puerling and David Maddux, and he has sung with Don Shelton, Bonnie Herman and Bob Bowker, among others.
