Job Description:
Accountant The First United Methodist Church of Ann Arbor is looking for a full time Accountant effective immediately. First Church is a large, active congregation of over 1,000 members with two locations in Ann Arbor. "Greenwood" is located in Northeast Ann Arbor and our downtown church is located on the corner of Huron and State. Accounting responsibilities would include: general ledger, financial statements, account analysis and reconciliation, accounts payable, receivables and payroll for a small staff. Ability to work independently, as well as in collaboration with the clergy, program and administrative staff and church members is essential. Strong accounting analysis, communication, organization skills a must. Proficiency with Shelby or other small business accounting system preferred in addition to the Microsoft Office Suite.
