Purpose: To coordinate, plan, and lead the musical aspect of Saturday night worship services.Hours: Part-Time, 8-10 per week.
Education/Experience: Bachelors of Arts in Music or comparable experience desired.
The Successful Candidate Must:
-Desire to worship God first, and be concerned with musical performance secondarily.
-Demonstrate through his or her lifestyle and actions a personal commitment to live a Christ-centered life.
-Be proficient at playing the piano or keyboard.
-Perform instrumentally and vocally in a contemporary style.
Responsibilities include:
-Selecting music for worship services.
-Recruiting and training worship teams among the laity.
-Organizing and coordinating music for worship services.
-Rehearsing/practicing with worship teams.
-Providing spiritual direction for members of worship teams.
-Attending training as decided upon by Pastor.
-Attending weekly staff meetings as needed and decided upon by Pastor.
-Attending Session meetings as needed and decided upon by Pastor.
-Attending monthly Worship and Witness Commission meetings as needed and decided upon by Pastor.
Salary: $10,000 per year
Benefits: Two weeks paid vacation.
Terms: One year, renewable upon satisfactory performance based on a 90-day review with Head of Staff followed by an annual performance review. However, the agreement may be terminated by the Session upon 30 days written notice by either party to the agreement.
