FULL TIME MUSIC MINISTER: South Congregational Church, a downtown, open and affirming, UCC church in Concord, NH seeks a people-oriented, faith-based, creative educator. Should be skilled in traditional and interested in exploring newer forms of music for an expanding and diverse multi-generational music ministry with 600 members, honoring God and embracing the community at large. The Concord area offers a unique blend of urban, suburban, and rural life. A wide variety of life-style opportunities exist within an easy commute. Featured are excellent schools, diverse four-season recreational facilities, a broad array of cultural opportunities, and Concord is only 1 hour and 15 minutes from Boston. Job responsibilities include collaborating with the Senior Minister in planning the liturgy and musical selections for worship and other special programs, accompanying the worship service with organ and piano, rehearsing and directing choirs and handbell groups, supervising program volunteers and musicians. Paul's work includes arranging for groups like GLAD, Voices of Liberty, VoiceTrek, The Chicago based "Caroling Party" and Day of Discovery Singers. His arranging has appeared on recordings side by side with greats like Gene Puerling and David Maddux, and he has sung with Don Shelton, Bonnie Herman and Bob Bowker, among others.
