Bay Hills Community Church is located in one of the most beautiful (San Francisco/Oakland Bay Area), yet secular, areas of our country. In this context we’ve experienced continued growth (17% per year) for 10 years now, have an attendance of around 450 on Sunday morning, and sense God has exciting plans ahead for us. Bay Hills is a contemporary, upbeat, purpose-driven, seeker-sensitive church where we have a passion to reach the unchurched in our community for Christ. We are currently looking for an individual who loves the challenge of growing a ministry, loves creative out-of-the-box ministry, but most importantly loves to lead God’s people in upbeat contemporary worship.
This person must have strong leadership, organizational, and pastoral skills, and be a people-oriented team builder. They will also have a working knowledge of creative arts (drama, video) and technical aspects related to the worship ministry (sound, lighting, video editing, worship software, media). The candidate must have a strong singing ability, be very proficient in either guitar or keyboard, and have a relaxed, natural stage presence. In addition, this individual should be able to recruit and develop others to lead and contribute to the worship process, but above all they should be gifted leading the congregation into God’s presence through worship. A working knowledge of our postmodern culture and how to integrate it into a worship service will be a strong plus.
Salary range $50,000 - $70,000 dpending on education, experience and ability.
