PASTOR sought for loyal congregation in small rural town in west-central Indiana's historic Parke County
40 hours per week full-time position with parsonage and benefits provided is available immediately
The mission of Bloomingdale Friends Church/Meeting is—
Encouraging the development of our personal faith in God,
Seeking to prepare ourselves to grow and live as followers of Jesus Christ, and
Meeting the spiritual needs of the members and the community through fellowship and service.
Bloomingdale Friends/Quaker Church has the expectation that their pastor will exemplify the values expressed by our Mission Statement. This would include first and foremost in believing that Jesus Christ is God's Son and in taking personal responsibility for insuring that Jesus Christ is our central focus. In addition, we expect them to not only continue to develop their personal Faith in God through various continuing educational opportunities and courses but also to assist in the development of the personal faith of the membership and the community-at large. We also expect service in the form of weekly Sunday sermons for the membership and additional interactive fellowships, visitations and/or counsel with members, non-members, and the community.
This position is expected to be at least a two year commitment. Our congregation is committed to working on developing and implementing programs serving families in our community. We expect the pastor to have experience or training in this specific area.
