Job Title: ELEMENTARY MINISTRY COORDINATOR Ministry Team: Children and their Families Reports To: Associate Pastor for Children and Their Families FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Salaried Date Prepared:January 2018
SUMMARY This half-time position establishes, strengthens, and maintains programs within the Children and Their Families Ministry that will enable children to grow and develop as disciples of Jesus Christ.
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in a related field along with relevant church experience involving children, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Some training in Christian Education preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports to the Associate Pastor for Children and their Families, and works collegially with other team members in Children's Ministry to provide a vibrant ministry to and with children and their families, with particular responsibility for elementary-aged children.
Plans, administrates, and resources Sunday morning activities, mid-week activities, Vacation Bible School, and other programs for children and families, with emphasis on elementary-aged children, including support of teachers and leaders, coordination of curriculum and supplementary resources, training of volunteer staff, and teaching as needed.
Coordinates mission opportunities for children and families.
Coordinates the Milestones Ministry programs for Elementary-aged children and families.
Develops new opportunities for Elementary –aged children and families to learn and grow as disciples.
Keeps classroom supplies stocked and organized for Elementary ministries.
Teaches in and assists with other Children's Ministry program needs as part of a team.
Other duties as assigned by the Associate Pastor for Children and Their Families.

Ability to use Microsoft Office and the internet.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee is occasionally required to be mobile throughout the building and off-site for functions.
The employee may be required to lift or move up to ten pounds.
The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
