MISSION:
The mission of the Pastor of Worship and Creative Arts is to apprentice a growing number of artists, musicians, singers to lead experiences that bring Jesus' hope to an imperfect world and glory to God.
Purpose: Manage all aspects of the Worship and Creative Arts program, to include Tech Department and the Sound and Light systems at Candlelight Christian Fellowship. The Worship Leader is responsible for clearly translating the vision of Candlelight into consistently excellent and well-conceived activity online, at church gatherings, and through print and video projects.
As a Team Member: The responsibility of the Worship and Creative Arts Pastor is to collaborate with their immediate team members as well as the Candlelight staff. He is responsible for removing obstacles that would hinder collaboration and cooperation across different ministries.
As an Indivi dual Leader: The Worship and Creative Arts Pastor is to personally live out the core values of Candlelight as set forth in the Staff Policy Manual. He is also responsible for the effective execution of the Essential Job Functions as detailed below.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Work with Sr. Pastor to shape and create an engaging worship experience.
Schedule song sets and musicians three weeks in advance.
Work cooperatively with leadership and staff for implementation of Candlelight vision.
Coordinate and collaborate with all Candlelight staff and leaders to steward and maintain a consistent branding of Candlelight.
Develop a creative team and volunteer base to collaborate on designs, branding, and communications.
Apprentice vocalists, musicians, worship leaders, visual, and social media artists.
Provide spiritual development opportunities (small groups, devotionals, studies, etc.) for worship artists.
Invest relationally in the people of Candlelight outside of structured Candlelight venues.
Responsible for service arrangement and flow (Planning Center).
Build visual presentation (lyrics, scriptures, etc.) for all services.
Select, learn, produce and record music and audio/video product as directed by the Sr. Pastor.
Oversee Concert and Recording ministry as directed by Sr. Pastor.
Oversee, manage and screen musical guests.
Develop three annual big event artist experiences as directed Sr. Pastor.
Technical
Give leadership to Technical Arts Ministry.
Oversee audio/video editing, web postings and archiving.
Oversee radio editing, posting and archiving.
Manage media budget and steward finances.
Marketing as requested.
Other Duties as assigned.
Audio, Video, and Lighting (A.V.L.)
Oversee all areas of AVL.
Design and maintain all AVL systems (constant and ongoing).
Develop and apprentice an AVL team (both technically and s piritually).
Oversee all set design, set up and tear down the stage.
Qualifications
Agreement with Statement of Faith, Vision, and Values of Candlelight.
Ability to build teams and train and integrate volunteers.
Ability to lead others.
2+ years experience in the field of worship, media and communications.
Proficient in task management systems and Google Apps.
Demonstrated ability to deliver quality projects on schedule.
Adaptability to growth and change.
Must complete Candlelight membership classes. (Church Shopping)
Engaged in the Wednesday evening Bible study.
