Apply for This Job Youth Pastor Marlow Baptisit Church Cameron, TX Posted: March 12, 2018     Job Information: Biblical References: 1 Timothy 3:1-7, 2 Timothy 2:22, 1 Peter 5:5 Ministry Purpose: To proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, to teach the biblical revelations, to implement planning the administrative aspects of Youth Ministry and services to the church and community. Principal Function: Report to the pastor, work with deacons, staff, church committees and students, to develop, implement, and lead a ministry for students (6th grade through young single adults) and their family, that equip and enables students to know Jesus Christ as their Lord, and to grow spiritually. Will have a firm understanding of, and will be in alignment with, the Marlow Baptist Church By-Laws, Statement of Faith, core values and church leadership Develop and implement an overall Christ filled youth curriculum plan for students that includes but is not limited to Bible Study, discipleship, mission education, outreach and fellowship Develop and implement an annual youth ministry budget proposal, and administer that budget as approved by the Budget/Finance Committee Develop, maintain, and coordinate a Youth Ministry program that includes, but is not limited to, Bible Study, discipleship, mission education, outreach and fellowship. Network with other evangelical youth leaders in the community to support youth in starting and strengthening school campus ministries. Coordinate the planning to ensure Youth/Students experience personal worship and praise through preaching and music activities. Network with other evangelical youth leaders in the community to support youth in starting and strengthening youth ministries. Develop and channel special events through the program organizations of the Youth Ministry. These events include such things as summer camp, retreats, mission trips, back to school events, graduation recognition and other events as needed. Provide counseling and spiritual direction to youth on an individual basis. Invest in personal and professional development Other duties as assigned Will be a member of the Transportation Committee and will care for Church vehicles. Personal Qualifications: Our Youth Pastor should diligently seek a vital and growing, personal relationship with the Lord and have a love for God's Word, a desire to live it out and the ability to teach it to students. Extremely Self Motivated and Self Starter capable of casting and imparting vision for ministry, possessing relational skills with students, parents, and staff. Must be a person of prayer and possess a deep, abiding love for God and his Son, Jesus Christ. Under God's strong hand he/she will seek to manage his/her own household well. In all areas of life and witness he/she will seek to shepherd the people of Marlow Baptist Church by being an example to the flock. If married, a strong marriage and family life must be visible to others. A humble and teachable heart; a heart for God that is evidenced by proven character and a spiritual-mindedness that understands that "apart from Christ we can do nothing". Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate persuasively and compassionately, both written and orally, and a commitment to clear lines of communication with parents. Personal initiative and diligence which produces follow-through in tasks.
