First United Methodist Church is developing a strong and vibrant community of 250 youth that are focused on growing their faith in Christ, building meaningful and intentional relationships with each other, and serving others. As a culture built on love, acceptance, accountability, encouragement and authenticity, we are looking for an Associate Director of Student Ministries who shares our passion to join our team.

Characteristics of the Associate Director of Student Ministries:
A believer who is chasing after God's own heart, actively participating in worship and Bible study; setting a Godly example both within the church and outside of it.
A shepherd, passionate in his/her call to Student Ministry and ready to connect relationally with students, parents and volunteers.
A coordinator with vision to develop high impact programming and events.
A leader who has the personal skills to manage large groups of students and large teams of volunteers, while maintaining a teachable, team player mindset.
A teacher who can effectively communicate God's Word to Middle School and High School students.
Qualifications of the Associate Director of Student Ministries:
A bachelor's degree in youth ministry or a related field
Demonstrated ability in planning, developing and coordinating youth ministry.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and conflict management experience.
Must embrace Christian discipline and United Methodist doctrine and theology.
