Apply for This Job Lead Pastor Evangelical Community Church Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong, other Posted: April 24, 2017     Job Information: Evangelical Community Church ("ECC"), an English-speaking, multi-ethnic, non-denominational church in Hong Kong, now seeks to appoint a Lead Pastor to oversee, lead and care for the church in upholding its core values of Worship, Nurture, Community and Outreach to reach more people with the Gospel and make more disciples for our Lord Jesus Christ. The Lead Pastor shall exemplify a consistent testimony through his prayer life and walk with Christ, as demonstrated in the integrity of his relationships with family and the church, with humility and a teachable spirit. He shall also demonstrate a Great Commission lifestyle, with a keen ability in balancing ministry and family life, emotional and physical well-being. The Lead Pastor is expected to regularly preach God's truth in relevant and applicable messages to a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic congregation. He shall be grounded in grace, passionate about prayer, committed to exegetical preparation, expository delivery and application, gospel-centered preaching, and the infallible Word of the Bible. He is also expected to oversee a team of staff, as well as any congregation members invited to teach. While serving on the Board of Elders as an ex oficio member, the Lead Pastor shall also be accountable to the Board. He shall supervise and provide spiritual direction to the staff and lay leaders in their respective ministries and areas of responsibilities. Other responsibilities and expectations of the role are as follows: Responsibilities Encourage and shepherd the spiritual formation of the congregation as the lead teacher/communicator. Provide directional and visionary leadership for the ministry of the church. Oversee the planning and leading of worship services and special events arising Nurture and communicate the vision for the church to all staff and lay leadership, including but not limited to deacons, committee members, etc. Lead the staff of around 15-20 persons through appropriate direction, supervision, evaluation, counsel, care and accountability. Oversee and encourage multiplication of ministry e.g. teaching, leadership, discipleship, vision development, by developing and empowering both the staff and lay leadership of the church.
