Fowlerville UB Church (about 30 minutes east of Lansing, MI) is looking for an experienced leader to lead our ministry to children and their families. We have a strong team of faithful volunteers that already love our children; but right now we're looking for someone to lead the charge when it comes to our children and family ministry. This person will work hand­ in hand with our Student Ministry Pastor and existing family ministries to create a program that will disciple those children and families inside the church and reach new children in our community with the message of Jesus. Sound like a mission you could sign on to? Here's a little more about us. Fowlerville is a beautiful community of about 3,000 in a county of just under 200,000 people. We're a large church of about 750 people in a small town environment (so you'll get the best of both worlds). We have a heart for our community and regularly invest in outreach programs that we hope make a real impact in our community. We're passionate about reaching people that are far from God and take that mission seriously. We also have a strong history of ministering to families... a reputation that we want to build upon further during the years ahead. Here's the type of person we're looking for: --You need to display an unmistakable passion for children, and a desire to serve them through the local church... by that we mean that you should live and breathe children's ministry! If you are passionate about partnering with parents and families by creating fun, exciting environments and programs that children will want to be a part of, while ensuring that the next generation is discipled to fully become who God created them to be... Then we need to talk. --You need to be able to lead... that means you'll be in charge of programming, budget, volunteers, structure, speaking, implementing strategies... the whole thing! That's going to take some management skills and leadership chops. If that's not, you... this isn't the job for you. --You need to have some practical experience in children's ministry... we're an established church with a large core group of children's and family volunteers ready for your leadership; so you'll need to be able to be up­ to speed so you can hit the ground running.
