The congregation was established in 1968 as the church began its affiliation with the Southern Baptist Convention. Northside has always had a heart for God, and a heart for people, since its inception. With a redefined vision in 1999 based upon this value, Northside's vision became ‘Loving God and Loving People.' Today's vision continues to build on that with the renewed focus to ‘Bring people to Jesus and help others to follow Him.' Northside has continued to grow from the early group of 30 people to a dynamic and progressive church of over 1000 in weekend attendance today. The Worship Pastor of Northside Church (NC) is a leader of leaders and is responsible for all worship environments at NC and collaboratively planning the weekend worship gatherings as well as other worship events. This position requires a heart for Jesus and an aptitude for worship and a passion for growing His church through leading people in worship. This role will require a constant pursuit of Christ honoring excellence both on and off the platform, a steady growth as a follower of Christ, with an ability to shepherd others. In addition, he will manage the creative elements of NC including its media presence, video production, and technical needs. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required for this position. The ideal candidate for the role of Worship Pastor at Northside Church will possess a pastoral heart, with a warm, humble, engaging, approachable, and friendly nature. They will demonstrate an attitude of a servant that complements the vision and mission of Northside Church. They will exercise spiritual disciplines including Bible study, prayer, faith and testimony sharing with both believers and non-believers within and outside of the church. In addition to a strong ability to communicate vision, the prospective candidate's core personal characteristics will include: Leadership, Servanthood, Encouragement, Discernment, Flexibility, Authenticity, and Approachability. Liverpool is a delightful suburban lakeside community positioned on the north shore of Onondaga Lake with unique shops, spectacular restaurants, lovely lakeshore trails, high-rated schools, and warm village folk. As one can guess, the name was adopted from the city of Liverpool in the United Kingdom. This charming community is located in the western part of the town of Salina and is northwest of Syracuse, of which it is a suburb. Liverpool is conveniently and centrally located to the world with only a 4-hour scenic car drive to either New York City, or Toronto, Canada. It also is located two hour drive to the beautiful Niagra Falls. Northside has become a regional church in the city of Liverpool, as indicated by the fact that people now attend from around 60 zip codes, while nearly a third of those are from Liverpool and Baldwinsville, the reach is extensive through the city of Syracuse and beyond.
