WHCC is currently looking for a Christ-follower with a passion for God and a love for children, to lead the Children's Ministry to its next level. This individual will be marked by the following qualifications for the purpose of successfully executing the responsibilities of the role: -Experienced in Children's Ministry or related ministry environment. -Possess a leadership scope that can comfortably work around a multi-staff, multi-cultural, and multi-faceted environment. -Likely have the ability to converse in Mandarin-Chinese, with fluency in the English language in both verbal and written capacities. -Seamlessly ‘fit' and ‘meet' the linguistic and cultural necessities/parameters of WHCC. -Understand curriculum and its integration within the context of learning, while maintaining flexibility in navigating through various curricula with ease. -A self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit -Well equipped with a strong ability to offer leadership to the Children's Ministry and its constituents. -A strong and organized administrative ability with an uncompromising spiritual maturity and ethnical character at the core of their work ethic. -Proven success in cross-cultural ministry is a significant plus. They will further possess the following personal characteristics: -Passionate about West Houston Chinese Church and its mission. -Exhibits a spirit of flexibility and is willing to accept and lead through change. -Exude a relational personality to children, parents, and guests. -The ability to engage with a mix of professionalism, compassion, and wisdom. -Has the capability to keep up with hundreds of details. -Epitomize the attributes of ‘sharing hope' and ‘proclaiming grace' that are core to the church community of WHCC. -A chemistry that "fits" with the WHCC ethos and culture. -A strong, consistent, and sustainable work ethic. -A collaborative team builder who focuses on the good of the entire organization and can inspire others to work together to achieve organizational excellence. -Success in this role will be determined by: A clear vision articulated and effectively implemented within the Children's Ministry. An authentic trust that is built among parents. Spiritual growth and increased morale among teachers. Increased momentum within the ministry in line with the overarching vision of WHCC. Committed volunteer base rooted in the Children's Ministry. Palpable excitement among children about ‘going to church'.
