Apply for This Job Director of Youth & College Ministry Main Street UMC Greenwood, SC Posted: April 25, 2016     Job Information: Director of Youth & College Ministry Main Street UMC | Greenwood, SC Job Description Main Street United Methodist Church is a downtown church located in Greenwood, SC, with an active participation of 250 every week. We are seeking a proven, self-motivated, energetic and faith-driven individual with the skills to advance the youth and college ministries. The successful individual will primarily lead the youth in stimulating weekly programs, including Wednesday and Sunday evening gatherings, as well as plan, organize and oversee various retreats and events. The purpose of the Youth Minister is to lead and supervise a comprehensive ministry to and with youth (grades 6th-12th) and college adults in order to make disciples of Jesus Christ. This individual will engage in volunteer recruitment, mission outreach, and the development of community-based networks. This individual is a strong evangelist for both traditional and non-traditional programs. The Youth Minister, under the direction of the Senior Minister, has the responsibility for proposing, planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating programs to meet the current and evolving needs of youth and local college students.
