St. Barnabas United Methodist Church, a growing and dynamic congregation in southwest Arlington, Texas, has an immediate full-time opening for a Director of Children and Family Ministry. Features of this ministry include a graded Sunday School, Wednesday Night Bible Studies in tandem with Children's Choirs, Route 56 for Tweens, 6th Grade Confirmation Classes, Parents' Night Out, a large Vacation Bible School, recreational summer and seasonal day camps, Mission Possible Kids, annual Children's Sabbath, and a Children's Christmas Eve Pageant and Worship Service.
The Director works with a part-time assistant and has supervisory responsibilities for our Early Education Center for pre-school children(enrollment 105).
Requirements include a dynamic and growing Christian faith, a love for children and their families, a bachelor's degree or more, skill in developing leaders, and a commitment to working as a team with other staff persons and congregational leaders.
