Senior Pastor for Kilpatrick United Brethren Church
Kilpatrick United Brethren Church Woodland, MI Posted: November 06, 2015
Job Information:
Kilpatrick United Brethren Church in rural Woodland, Michigan, is searching for a new Lead Pastor. Our current Lead Pastor is leaving during the spring of 2016 to follow the Lord's calling in other ministry opportunities(with our blessing and support), and we're looking for the right person to lead Kilpatrick into the future. Kilpatrick exists in order for people to discover, develop and experience the fullness of the Christian (Christ centered) life.
We're looking for someone who can provide vision, direction, and strategic leadership for our future. This person will be a team-player, working collaboratively with our KLT(Kilpatrick Leadership Team), and staff to provide purpose and oversight.
As our Lead Pastor, you will need to be focused on the ministry opportunities and possibilities in our community and region, and exercise discernment in knowing how to best make and mature disciples.
As our primary communicator, you will have responsibility to preach/teach biblical Christ-centered and Spirit-led messages that are relevant and will encourage, inspire, and motivate the church to action. You'll need to be able to communicate meaning and insight from Scripture in a way that connects with our people.
You will work with a full ministry staff, including an Associate Pastor, Administrative Assistant, Worship Coordinator, Youth Ministries Coordinator, Children's Ministry Coordinator, and Tech Coordinator. We will want you to mentor, encourage, and set the example to them through your hard work and cultivation of personal relationships.
We are a church of all ages, particularly families with young children. We are a church of nearly 300 in a rural area servicing several small communities. We have a strong, mostly lay lead small group ministry. We don't take ourselves too seriously, and love to laugh.
Kilpatrick Church utilizes a Governance Board consisting of 4 members of the congregation and the lead Pastor to fulfill the mission, vision, and oversight of the church through established Ministry values, Boundary Principles, and Accountability Principles. The Governance model places an increased role of the pastor acting as the CEO of the church, making the day to day operational decisions with all staff reporting directly to the lead Pastor.
Compensation and benefits are based on experience and will follow the United Brethren Church Denomination's compensation guidelines.

Our current Pastor will be staying at Kilpatrick Church during the Pastoral transition period (no later than June 2016), to make himself available to the new pastor to become acclimated in the Church and Community.
