Job Title: Technical Arts Coordinator
Reports To: Director of Worship
SUMMARY
Under general supervision, the Technical Arts Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and managing all audio, visual, and lighting systems used for weekend worship services and special events and for managing the technical staff necessary to operate these systems. He/she is also responsible for the oversight of all areas of video production and for the branding and graphic design of sermon series and special events. The Technical Arts Coordinator reports to the Director of Worship. Employee will use independent judgment based upon church policy and procedure, biblical principles and regular communication.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership
- Recruit, train, and lead a team of volunteers to provide technical support to all venues
- Coordinate and schedule all technical volunteers for all weekend services and special events
- Facilitate and oversee the technical aspects of major productions such as Christmas and Easter
Technical & Creative
- Responsible for all sound, lighting and platform needs for all rehearsals and weekend worship experiences
- Suggest new and innovative processes and AVL systems
- Setup, organize and maintain cabling and all stage elements
- Collaborate with the Director of Worship in the managing of creative content for weekend services
- Collaborate with the Director of Worship in designing and building stage sets
- Oversight of all areas of video production: creating, producing, filming and editing of video projects
- Support all AVL needs church-wide
- Manage and maintain sound and lighting equipment and consoles in all venues
Administrative
- Create an annual budget for all production and equipment costs
- Manage media purchases and requests
- Create a maintenance schedule for all current AVL equipment and repair or suggest replacement equipment
- Create and maintain inventory and warranty information for all AVL assets
- Maintain all equipment storage
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in related field preferred
- Experience operating audio, video and lighting systems for worship services in a large church environment
- Experience managing personnel and/or volunteer teams
- Knowledge with ProPresenter, Planning Center Online, Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, Apple products

The successful candidate must be a Christian and fully support the philosophy of Covenant Presbyterian Church and its leadership team. The ability to work efficiently and effectively in team situations is critical, as well as the ability to work independently.
