Kerrville Bible Church strives to be a God exalting, Christ honoring, Bible expositing, Gospel centered body of believers who come together to worship our Triune God as we grow in faith and godly practice through the preaching of the Word, Christ centered fellowship/discipleship and observation of His ordinances. KBC is trusting the Lord to provide a worship pastor who will not only lead the congregation in worshipful music but also shepherd the hearts of those under his care. We are looking for a man of God who reflects the following qualifications
Work with preaching pastor to plan the Worship Service
Lead congregational worship each Lord's Day, and as needed
Hire and supervise part-time Accompanist
Supervise part-time Sound Booth Engineer
Oversee sound booth equipment needs plus other music equipment needs
Work with volunteer guitar players and other instrumentalists
Lead weekly KBC choir rehearsal
Select music and present a choir number roughly every other week
Able to organize and direct special event programs
Create, coach and lead Praise Team
Work with soloists, duets, etc. for special music offerings
Work with children and youth for occasional music offerings
Other possible responsibilities depending on experience, gifts, and abilities
Qualifications:
Male, growing and mature Christian character, potential KBC elder
Clear call to full-time church ministry
Full agreement with Doctrinal Statement, Statement of Faith, By laws and general agreement with Philosophy of Music
Strong knowledge of hymns, both traditional and contemporary, plus familiar with biblically solid praise and worship songs appropriate for corporate worship
Appropriate Bachelor's Degree from reputable institution; Master's Degree (preferred)
3 years of experience on church staff in a music leadership role
5 years of experience leading a choir (preferred) or demonstrated ability to lead a choir
Able to read music
Adequate voice ability and temperament to lead congregational worship
Able to direct KBC choir, ensembles, praise teams, provide voice coaching
