The successful candidate will direct, manage, and further develop youth programing for school grades 6-12. Additional duties and responsibilities will include identifying, defining, and coordinating mission programs and curricula for the membership at large. A qualified candidate for this position will have completed a bachelor's degree, preferably with a major in religion, youth ministry, child development, or adult ministries. He or she will have 2 to 3 years of experience working in youth ministry. Additional qualifications include, but are not limited to, the following: the ability to work with a diverse group of adult leaders in a variety of arenas, a proven track record of functioning in a Christian environment with parents and youth in the above-mentioned age bracket, a willingness to work within a church framework while possessing the ability to lead others toward new and/or different directions in a tactful and appropriate manner, a theology consistent with United Methodist beliefs, and any and all other qualification(s) as may at any time in the future be identified and appropriately included. This FULL TIME POSITION will be considered a work in progress to the extent that it may be tailored to the successful candidate's God-given gifts. Salary is negotiable.
