The Director of Music is responsible for the planning and integration of the music ministry of Long Green Baptist Church into the church's overall ministry. This person will assist the pastor and the congregation in leading worship on Sunday mornings (8:30 and 11:00 services), as well as overseeing the production and performance of seasonal and special events. KEY RESPONSIBILTIES 1. Plan, coordinate, and direct all aspects of the music ministry program. 2. Sunday morning worship -- assist the pastor in developing the order of worship, selection and preparation of music, direct weekly rehearsal of the praise band 3. Seasonal presentations -- oversee the selection and preparation of Easter and Christmas musical productions, including choir and drama Additional responsibilities include overseeing technical aspects of weekly worship, assisting in the development of annual budget requirements, overseeing and integrating lay music ministries, and maintaining music library and instruments.
