Please do not apply if you don't love rural ministry. We are looking for an anointed worship pastor to kick start an exciting ministry! First Christian Church is looking for a dynamic leader in our worship and youth ministries. Our services are traditional; we are looking to start a contemporary service, which would be creative, and fun. We are looking for someone who is passionate, teachable, a team player, and anointed. "The worship leader for First Christian Church must be a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, displaying true discipleship and commitment to the gospel. As the worship leader for this community, this person must have a deep biblical knowledge and a good understanding of the worship of the Church" Position Description: The worship pastor will be the "producer" of the contemporary service and special programs. Although the senior pastor is the "director" in terms of setting the theme and overall direction, the worship pastor will oversee and coordinate all the details that a service encompasses. The worship pastor must be a visionary who is creative in leading people to God. The worship pastor is a leader who can communicate a direction in a way that inspires those around him/her to join in the pursuit of that vision. This position is a pastoral one that therefore requires the individual to serve not solely as a musical or performing arts director but also as a shepherd to the people who serve in this ministry. Compensation: $25,000 to $30,000 (depending on qualification) a three bedroom one bath house including utilities. Qualifications: A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a vital growing personal relationship with Christ. Commitment to moral purity. Commitment to the mission, vision, and worship philosophy of First Christian Church. Demonstrated excellence as a worship leader. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is a plus, but not required. Must be willing to relocate to a small town. Peru Indiana is a rural community with 12,000 people.
