DIRECTOR OF MUSIC MINISTRIES NORTHSIDE DRIVE BAPTIST CHURCH Atlanta, Georgia Northside Drive Baptist Church ("NDBC") in Atlanta, Georgia, is currently accepting applications for the part-time position of Director of Music Ministries. The Director of Music Ministries is responsible for implementing all aspects of the music ministry of NDBC, which has a rich history of liturgical worship and fine music. NDBC seeks an individual with an advanced knowledge of music repertoire who demonstrates competence and creativity as a conductor of musical ensembles. The Director of Music Ministries works under the supervision of the Senior Pastor of NDBC.
Responsibilities of the Director of Music Ministries include, but are not limited to, planning the music program for Sunday morning worship and seasonal events in consultation with the Church Staff and the Worship and Music Ministry Team; directing the Sanctuary Choir during weekly rehearsals, worship, and seasonal events; supervising the organist/accompanist of the Sanctuary Choir; hiring and supervising staff singers for the Sanctuary Choir; leading the Handbell Choir during weekly rehearsals and special presentations; supervising the Children's Choir program; and administering the NDBC music budget. In addition to considering applications for the part-time position of Director of Music Ministries, the NDBC search committee will also receive and consider applications from individuals with demonstrable skills to serve as both choirmaster and organist.
