Apply for This Job Worship and Arts Pastor Christs Church of the Meadows Edmonton, AB Posted: June 09, 2015     Job Information: WORSHIP AND ARTS PASTOR (full time) Christ's Church of the Meadows, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Christ's Church is searching for a talented, creative, and passionate leader who loves worship and wants to see others connect to Jesus through the weekend experience. We view our Sunday gathering as an opportunity for new guests and seekers to be introduced to the person of Jesus Christ. Our goal is to create an engaging environment where relevant messages, contemporary worship music, covers of theme-appropriate popular music, use of video, and other art forms would point people to Jesus and encourage first time guests to want to come again. Our church averages 150 people each Sunday, and we have a strong desire to grow! We are looking for that key person to oversee all worship and creative arts, and take our weekend service to the next level. Applicants must have the following core competencies: exceptional vocalist and musician who can lead the congregation in worship the ability to lead volunteers and build teams including recruiting and training a team player who works well with other staff members a servant leader's heart self-motivated, quick learner and goal oriented desire to work in a fun environment! The Worship and Arts Pastor reports directly to the Lead Pastor. Responsible also to the Leadership Team. Responsibilities: Serve as the primary worship director, working collaboratively with the Lead Pastor and volunteers, to plan and execute weekly services, outreach events, and special services. Lead worship services, recruit and develop new worship leaders. Assume responsibility as the primary shepherd for those who participate in Worship and Arts Ministry. Report to the Lead Pastor regarding concerns, needs, and requests of Worship and Arts Ministry. Lead in the development of lighting, sound, stage design, and volunteers needed to run these aspects of ministry.
