Principal Focus. (Briefly summarize the major purpose of the position). The Assistant Youth Director will support and administer the strategies that lead to achieving the following vision for grades 6-12 at Our Saviour's. 1.Authentic Christian Community - establishing an Acts 2 Christian community where leaders, youth, youth families, and mentors have a sense of responsibility for each other as well as the larger community. 2.Contagious Participation – develop and manage fun and engaging activities that naturally make people want to bring their friends. 3.Collaborative Ministry – work with all ministry areas so that youth ministry is an active part of church-wide scheduling, events, and missions. Regular Duties: (List the major duties required by the position). Coordinate registration process for Surge and Ignition. Collaborate with Director in setting-up high school and junior high Small group assignments Assist in curriculum planning for Surge and Ignition Collaborate with Director on logistics for Surge and Ignition Collaborate with Director to manage ministry budget Organize teams of volunteers to support logistics for events Work with Communications team to get brochures and letters printed Chaperone local retreats and events Attend staff meetings and staff annual retreat Attend worship services and events at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church Skills and Requirements: Creative, flexible and able to multi-task Strong faith and ability to share knowledge of the Bible Willing to work on Sunday afternoons and evenings Experience working with youth Experience working with volunteer teams; ability to mobilize lay leadership Technology skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher, Blogging, Social Media, etc.) Communication skills Budget management skills Organized and strong attention to detail Bachelor's degree preferred or 3+ years of work experience preferred    Position Information: Position Title: Assistant Youth Director Time: Part Time Category: Youth Pastor & Youth Ministry Salary: Denomination: Lutheran Worship Style: Traditional Church Size: 1000 - 1500   Contact Information: Organization Name: Our Saviours Lutheran Church Address1: 815 South Washington Address2: City: Naperville State or Province: IL ZIP Code: 60540 Country: USA Map this Organization: Map Contact Email: Contact this Organization   Pastorless Churches				Post a Job
