Apply for This Job Pastor of Worship Arts Countryside Covenant Church McPherson, KS Posted: March 09, 2015     Job Information: Countryside Covenant Church McPherson, Kansas Worship Pastor / Director Job Description We are seeking a growing, spiritually mature Worship Pastor with a passion for authenticity, excellence, and creativity in worship. Your team ministry approach, along with a heart for servant leadership, will be welcomed by our pastoral team. We’ve been praying for you to join us. We are a spiritually healthy and vibrant church of over 500, committed to honoring Christ in Word, worship and service. God has blessed us with a number of gifted musicians and singers who serve on our contemporary worship teams with full bands. Occasional music programs including drama and visual arts, are utilized seasonally. We also have an appreciation for hymnody and the role of family traditions in worship. Your leadership is needed to coordinate, teach, direct, delegate, encourage, and empower these dynamic worship groups. We are looking for someone who possesses a personal faith in Jesus Christ, with a pastoral heart for people to equip and empower our people to serve. The spiritual gifts, skills, and experience that are appropriate for this calling need to include: proficiency in playing piano and/or guitar while singing, the ability to read and transpose music, capability to direct a seasonal choir/ensemble or instrumental ensemble group, and the ability to understand and utilize AV equipment. A pastoral heart and team approach to ministry is vital. Education should include at least a B.A. Our hope is that you would be willing to pursue licensure within the Evangelical Covenant Church, and be willing to serve with the pastoral team in other congregational needs (preaching, teaching, pastoral care, and leadership) as gifts, education, calling, and time allow.
