Apply for This Job Youth Director First United Methodist Church in Corpus Christi Corpus Christi, TX Posted: September 16, 2014     Job Information: The Director of Youth Ministries will work closely & coordinate with the pastor in carrying out the vision, goals, spiritual direction and growth of the ministries of First United Methodist Church - Corpus Christi, specifically in the area of youth ministry (6th – 12th grade youth). I. General Responsibilities a. Recruit, train, and supervise adult volunteers to assist in the ministry to youth. Recruiting, organizing, training, and encouragement of volunteers is a critical role in this position. Managing volunteers will allow numerous tasks and duties to be fulfilled. b. Plan, coordinate, and manage all youth programming. c. Work with other program leaders and staff in developing a comprehensive program of spiritual, educational, physical, and emotional development for youth and their families. d. Participate in continuing education regarding trends, current ideas, and thinking about successful youth ministry. e. Maintain proper youth/adult ratios as required by the child/youth safety policy.
