Apply for This Job Youth/Worship Leader Chemung Christian Fellowship Chemung, NY Posted: September 08, 2014     Job Information: Job Description: Chemung Christian Fellowship (CCF) is seeking a passionate, driven and highly relational individual to excel in our Director of Youth Ministries/Worship Leader position. Objective: To build young disciples for Christ by developing and implementing a comprehensive approach to youth ministry (in the areas of fellowship, worship, mission, and community outreach) while serving as a spiritual leader and role model to CCF youth. To create a worship environment that will allow the Holy Spirit to move freely in our service preparing our hearts for the sermon. Qualifications: Fully devoted Follower of Jesus Christ who has accepted Him as their Personal Savior. Have witnessed call by God to lead worship and work with the youth of the local church. Invest regularly in personal/leadership/ministry development. Have a congregational heart towards worship. Gifted as a lead vocalist; ideally having an ability to play musical instruments Good organizational skills. Self-motivated. Respectable verbal and written communication skills, conflict management skills and computer skills. Willing to schedule work hours in a way that aligns with students' and worship members' availability. Maintain confidentiality. Bachelors Degree in related studies preferred. Responsibilities: Youth Leader Plan, develop and implement all aspects of a balanced youth ministry in the areas of group fellowship, worship, discipleship, missions and community outreach. Be an advocate for youth and educate the congregation about the hopes, concerns and needs of the youth in the local church. Structure the middle/high school youth ministries so the core values are addressed: Closeness with God Connection in Community Influence with Others Keep records of youth participation, activities at youth gatherings and manage the youth ministry budget. Be a liaison between church and other community organizations, people, and resources that relate to youth and youth ministries. Recruit and ensure adequate volunteer support of adult to youth ratios. Worship Leader Plan, coordinate and lead weekly worship music for Sunday morning services. This will include consulting with the pastor, practice with the worship team and coordinating with the media team. Recruit members and schedule special music. Create worship encounters that flow and give room for the Holy Spirit to move. Ensure communication and coordination with church staff, leadership, parents and the congregation as a whole. Chemung Christian Fellowship endeavors to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ, not only in this community, but also worldwide. Church Summary: Chemung Christian Fellowship was established in 2008 in the small hamlet of Chemung New York. Chemung is in Upstate New York, located between The Valley (Waverly, NY, Sayre, PA and Athens, PA) and Elmira NY. The setting is rural but you are not far from entertainment and shopping. The church is led by Pastor Randy Stilson with his wife Diann at his side. There is a team of elders and a church secretary. The church as two services on Sunday morning, one at 8:30 and the second at 11:00. Sunday school offers classes for birth to adults. There are some small group meetings during the week. Prayer meetings are held on Wednesday mornings and evenings. Our church supports missionaries in China, Africa and Haiti. Missions in our community involve food banks and supporting the local pregnancy center.
