QUALIFICATIONS include: a passion for Christ; an enthusiasm for Biblical teachings from a contemporary Reformed viewpoint; a love for the younger generation(s) of church members; enrolment in and/or graduation from a Reformed or evangelical Presbyterian seminary; proven authoritative and non-authoritative leadership skills; familiarity with development strategies for youth and youth programs; experience in evangelism and discipleship ministries; comfortable in multicultural urban environment.

WHO ELSE MIGHT MEET OUR NEEDS? Possibly a YOUTH AND OUTREACH CANDIDATE. He would be responsible for leading ministry involving high-school and post-high youth and young couples. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include these four main areas:
1) Youth Program Development: assist the youth to discover and develop their spiritual gifts; review existing programs and enhance them; seek out youth leadership opportunities within these programs. 2) Shepherding youth: disciple and mentor new, younger members and visitors; encourage youth to become involved in all aspects of church life; create dynamic youth programs and participate in events; support them through life events; be active among post-high College & Careers singles and young couples. 3) Evangelism and Outreach: be the main contact for youth visiting Covenant; actively involved in community outreach; encourage youth to participate in outreach and service opportunities. 4) Teaching Ministry: assist in the leading and/or oversee the theological content of youth programs; teach a catechism class; lead a Bible study. 5) The candidate also will act in an advisory capacity to all programs involving children and youth in the church.
