Job Description:

Purpose: In partnership with ministry leaders, dream, develop and deploy strategies to enhance social media, online, and digital projects encompassing all Ginghamsburg Church sites.

Primary Responsibilities and Activities:
* Build church brand and increase public visibility
* Partner with ministry leaders to identify and deploy marketing strategies/external communications for key church initiatives and events, developing and monitoring associated marketing budgets
* Write, create and deploy engaging content across all social media platforms as well as for print and web media
* Track and analyze analytics reports to gain insight on traffic, demographics and effectiveness, using information to positively affect future outcomes
* In partnership with the creative media team, develop and deploy print and website marketing materials as applicable
* Maintain current knowledge of best practices in the specific field of church communications/social media as well as best business practices
* Develop and maintain media relationships, including maintaining an updated list of media relations contacts for press releases and other purposes
* Develop and deploy press releases and PSAs and coordinate onsite support of media contacts present at events
* Recruit and deploy unpaid servants to enhance and broaden Ginghamsburg's social media presence
* Generate purchase orders as needed
* Ensure smooth operation for all digital tools and applications (e.g. websites, platforms, etc.)
* Work with a team to analyze SEO and marketing metrics
* Train internal teams to use digital technologies and ensure brand consistency
* Suggest new optimization methods to improve the user experience
* Ensure web best practices are met

Skill Requirements:
* Broad working knowledge of marketing principles, communications, public relations and media relations required
* Strong familiarity with business/church applications of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube) and digital marketing.
* Understanding of social media metrics/analytics; able to interpret and use results to increase social media campaign effectiveness
* Track record of success in project management
* Strong eye for detail in all areas of work performance and ability to proofread
* Strong interpersonal, customer service and teaming skills
* High energy and time flexibility
* Must be energized by change and new task and learning opportunities
* Technically savvy
