Message:I agree with your thoughts in bringin the stronger singers forward during Praise and Worship. In additon, do you have an "overhead" or some kind of projection equipment, so that the "words" to the songs can be communicated to the congregation? This will foster an environment of corporate worship and invite the congregation to join in worship.I like the idea of incorporating Hymns along with P&W type songs, this will allow the congregants to worship in both the traditional and new formats. Also, you can take "parts" of a hymn and create a shorter P&W song - again combining the traditional and new formats. Lastly, read the article on this web page concerning "Hinderances to Worship" I also was concerned about persons getting involved in worship. I thought they were all being "arrogant" and "rebellious" and "prideful" and donw right deviant to God - I had forgotten thatleading worship is more than songs it is a ministry to the "wounded" - as it is the redeemed (Worshippers) that so say! That the wounded might be compelled by the Holy Spirit to respond to the love of Christ spoken in the P&W songs of praise and adoration.
