Message:I have served as Organist for the past 16years, and now I feel a turn off from the pastor and some of the members. I have groomed the pastor's 2 grandson's in becoming musicians, and now since the boys have grown up, and with the change of traditional music, moving to contemorory, I feel washed up and pushed aside. I have decided that as of Dec. of this year I will resign from this Church. When I first started playing there yeah, my body was young and I was able to play for those 3 and somtimes 4 service on Sunday. But, now I'm in my 40's, work full-time, stressfull, and tired when Friday comes around. Yeah, it is a paid position , very low!...But, I have been paid the same amount for the past 12years...125.oo per Sunday. I have prayed, and sought the Lord, but, when I attend choir practice this week, some of the members made very uncomfortable comments, and to just keep peace, I feel it is best for me to step away.
