Re: Re: I could really use some help!
Message:Greetings in Christ, Faith: Nice to meet you. And, thank you for your advice. We are experiencing God's presence during our services and I am very encouraged by the movement of the Holy Spirit (i.e., some new faces, miraculous healing, softening of hearts, etc.) However, it is such a tremendous blessing to have a place like this to share with others who understand what it's like to attempt to motivate people! I have no prior education. I have never had voice lessons, I am just now (at 46yrs.old) learning to read music (as I help my 7 yr old grandaughter learn piano). All I have is a very sincere and deep love for my Savior and a belief that He will equip whomever He calls. My singing, witnessing, etc. come only from a heart filled with gratitude for the free gift of salvation given by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. And while my heart tells me that is enough, my head sometimes tells me that I'm way out of my league. Does that make any sense? Anyway, I believe that finding this web site may be a tool that the Lord has provided to help me. Are you the worship leader at your church? As the worship leader, do you still sing special music? I am concerned that the congregation might grow tired of hearing me sing. However, no one else is ready (yet) to sing or help out at all. I don't want to appear to be "taking over" and yet, there are some beautiful songs (that I would have to sing solo) that I believe would help lead these folks to the throne of grace. I would love to hear any comments, criticisms or suggestions you may have. Thanks and God Bless. In His Service, Deb
