Message:Hey Lee. I noticed you were talking about limitations. You are So right, limitations are definetly put on us. Even in worship. go figure right? By studying the bible, i have found a few interesting verses that i really would like for you to look into. 1 Timothy 2:11-13- "A woman must quietly recieve instruction with entire submissivness. But I do not allow a woman to teach or excercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet. For it was Adam who was first created, and then Eve." 1 Corinthians 11:3- "But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of every woman, and God is the head of Christ" 1 Corinthians 14:34-35- "The woman are to keep silent inthe churches; for they are not permitted to speak, but are to subject themselves, just as the Law also says. If they desire to learn anything, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is improper for a woman to speak in church." Even though these verses were written a long time ago, and society has changed, that doesn't mean the Bible has changed. A woman has a lot more rights than she used to, but this doesn't mean that God has changed his law. If things changed, then why are we using the Bible? You know what I mean? It doesn't make sense to me why these verses would be put in the Bible if they still didn't apply to us today, or that they should serve as an example to women today. Women can serve in so many other ways, without breaking these verses. Lady's groups, children's bible classes, and community service are just a few other options. God Bless~
