Hello everyone,

Our youth group has about 150-200 kids weekly. The worship leader for our youth group, justin, just graduated and is leaving for college to further pursue worship and ministry. Just last night he talked to me and told me that he had been praying for a long time, and He felt like God wanted him to leave the worship to me. I am very excited, but also very nervous. I didn't give him an answer as to whether or not i would do it yet. Right now i am just praying about it.
I dont have too much expierence when it comes to leading worship. I've been playing guitar for a year and a half. I am in a Christian Band, and we actually made it to the national fine arts competition in texas this summer. Other than that me and my friend Greg lead worship for the 3,4, and 5th grade kids at our church that ran about 40 kids a week, but i've never lead a full band before. I am scared.
The reason i started playing guitar was because God called me to do it one day. God has opened plenty of doors for me to play and worship him, and its been such a blessing. But often i just feel like "why me?" I look around and see that there are others that play alot better than me, and that have played alot longer than me. I know God has a plan for me... i do feel called to ministry. I guess i just need to be encouraged and seek God. I know that God sometimes chooses the weak things of this world to shame the strong. But sometimes i feel SO weak.
I'd really love to hear back from some other women who lead worship. who might have even felt weak or had a hard time starting out as well. Thanks.

your sister in Christ,

Caitlyn
