Under $5k, they ALL have the same parts basically. Cheap Panasonic pots and faders. Some may have Alps faders. The big diff is where and how that they are made, and possibly gain.The best console for the money is a Crest. Crest makes a "pro" version of a Mackie or MixWizard. The diff is that it is completely modular inside, not all one PC board. If you have a problem, remove that channel and keep going. ALL the others your would have to take the whole console in for service. The Crest has a great EQ, which you cannot say about the Mackie, the Allen & Heath or the Spirit. The Crest has more pro features as well.Whatever you buy, buy a console from a company with touring console technology. That is, buy where they have "trickle down" technology. Because if their big consoles hold up on the road, then their smaller versions will hold up over time in a church. Mackie is not accepted on large production tech riders, neither is Peavey. People will take a Yamaha, Crest, Allan & Heath or a Soundcraft (NOT Spirit!).
