Room Equalization
We are trying to nail down the room equalization for a sanctuary that seats about 1000-1500. We will probably wind up tweaking it over several sessions to get it sounding right. I'm wondering if any of you have suggestions on how to compensate for the lack of warm bodies in the room during the sounding process. We initially set the room as flat as we could get it. The first services since then have tended to sound loud and harsh - almost too bright! In looking at the RTA, we are seeing a severe rolloff of the high-end (from about 5KHz up) when we have a full room (the case at every service), but I am reluctant to boost the high end substantially to compensate. Any suggestions or ideas in regard to this?? Thanks and God Bless you all!!
