Re: how to record worship service & reproduce for shutins
I would say that you should first talk to them to see what format they would want the services on. In my experience, most older members, on average, do not own or know how to operate a CD player. Most still have 12:00 flashing on their VCR. I would guess that you will need to deliver on cassette. You will need a Cassette duplicator. The cost will be dependent on quality, the number of tape wells (copies per batch), etc. Telex, Tascam, and others offer duplicators. My pick is the Tascam for years of worry free service. Plus, their parts are easy to get. Teac is a huge company.Next, you will need a cassette master recorder. Now you can stop at this point, or you can ad a laptop with a soundcard, and some free editing software like Digidesign Pro Tools Free. There are others, but PT is a standard that I like. You can do waht you want here. You could record the service to the camputer's drive, edit out the dead spots, add intros/outros, and then master to cassette, then duplicate it.Hope this helps.
