Re: Assistive Listening System opinions?
Message:Without knowing more specifics, it is difficult to answer. There are commercial assisted listeneing systems available. Telex offers a system called Soundmate Hearing Assistance System. It features a transmitter and 4 receivers. Full Compass offers it at $868.00 list. You'll have to call for price. Email is www.fullcompass.com. Phone is 800-356-5844. Genter also offers similar systems, but it is more expensive. Genter is also carried by Full Compass. You can contact them for a catalog, or shop online.Another solution might be to use small monitors like a hot shot in a specific seating area, and reserve it for seniors. Some may object to having to sit in a specific area. My obervation over the years is that people seem to sit in their "designated seat" every Sunday. In fact if a new person in the church sits in their designated seat, it can disrupt an entire area of the church. Since the spiritually assigned seating is disrupted, it sets off a chain of seating disruption as each person now sits in someone else's designated seat. Even at the risk of seat anarchy, the spot monitor might be a good solution for you. I hope this helps you.
