Message:The first thing to do is to see if your AC power for the video and audio system's are from the same leg, same phase. Verify with one of those cheap $3 plug-in outlet checkers that the polarity and ground are correct. Next you should get that power distributed through a Surgex, not a Furman, conditioner/regulator. Video gear is especially sensitive to discharges backfeeding through the system from appliances in the building, air conditioners, etc.Second, if you are using an XLR out from the Edirol (I don't know that Roland spin-off product line), then you should cut the conductor connected to pin 1. Trim it back so that it does not make contact with the shield. Do this on the send end, not the receive end. NEVER lift your ground! It violates electrical standards/codes. By lifting the ground, you are not fixing anything, and you may make things worse in other areas. If you are sending via an XLR connector, that would make it line level, which would not be too weak for the mic pre on the console. But, there is no need to input it there. Go straight to the line in and bypass the mic pre. You will need a TRS connector on that end.
