Re: Apollo LCD Projector Model+ Avp-300 HELP PLEASE!
Message:Apollo was an economy player in the LCD video projector market in the mid '90s, at the time when LCD panels and Buhl 108 overhead projectors ruled the corporate classrooms and CRT projectors were still the only way to project high definition images. At this time, the Infocomm (www.icia.org) Projector Shoot-Out demonstrated about a hundred projectors in the same room, on the same size/model screens, with the same source, and placed in order of price class, so quality differences were quickly evident. Entering the Shoot-Out is expensive, so I believe there was a year that Apollo elected not to return to the event. You can check resolution of the projector by varying different computer image pixel sizes (640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, etc.) with your computer's RGBHV video output. The earlier projectors did not have sophisticated re-mapping algorithms, so whatever pixel count fills up the screen will give you the projector's native resolution (and lower resolutions will not fill the screen).
