Sherlock,
Please go to this page on our website http://www.digitalhymnal.net/technical.htm
then go to the bookmark "Special Code" if your DH100 is not to old it should take the codes as follows:
or just do the following steps:

*

Upgrading and Resetting DH-100:

This procedure can be done on DH-100 if there is a question on whether all the copyrighted hymns are programmed into the unit or if an unusual messages appears on the display. It should also be noted that a bad battery pack will also cause unusual messages to appears on the display. Before upgrading or resetting, you should first remove and disconnect the battery pack and then using only the AC adapter, check to see if these messages disappear.

If your unit continues to display unusual messages after testing with the battery pack removed, you should upgrade/reset the unit as follows:

*

Enter 9632 on the keypad of the Hymnal (NOT the remote) and then press the ENTER key (+). ”Self destruction sequence started” will appear in the display window.
*

In order for the upgrade/reset to take place, you will need to enter the next two sets of numbers within10 seconds -
o

6294 - then press the ENTER key (+). “Thou shalt not steal” will appear in the display window (some programmers do have a since of humor.)
o

8521 - then press the ENTER key (+).

Sequence will be:

9632 → ENTER key (+) → 6294 →ENTER key (+) →8521→ENTER key (+)
****************************************************

As far as your battery pack it is most likely done for / died after that many year and not being charged and discharged . The pack list for $108.oo I can send you one for $75.oo plus shipping.

One last thing if you deside to sell the unit give me the Ser# and I might be able to sell it for you I know of a lady that is looking for a used DH

Hope this helps and if you need any other help call me at 814-227-8090 or
