Re: Desperate for more of the Lord

How many are the people with the same cry.
God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
The prayer of the righteous (Jessu is our righteousness) availeth much.
Ask, seek and knock, just like you are...
Our heavenly Father does not abandon or dissapoint His children.
The Devil is a liar..you need to speak out (confess) the Lord's promises to His children, reminding yourself and the enemy that you are taken care of by the Creator of all things. Worship is a no-brainer. Get some non-lyric music that you can worship the Lord with and add your own words and prayers...then listen for the Holy Spirit's response...He may speak to your heart or you may get the sense that you should look in your Bible at a certain scripture...God wants and in fact needs to communicate with all of His children...the sheep know the voice of their shepherd..It's like any relationship when it comes to communication..it has to be two-way. God 'speaks' to people in many ways as seen throughout the Scriptures. Some see 'pictures' in their minds others hear words and of course certain dreams can be from the Lord. The Test: It will not contradict the Scriptures. We gotta be in our Bibles daily. We have to be waking up in the morning and blessing the lord for a new day and asking the Holy Spirit to give us a 'word' to go on for the day..It is an awesome life when you and God touch base at the begining of each day. This past week the Spirit spoke to my heart and simply said, "Go", so I got up and got to the day's work..On Friday, normally one of my busy days, I sensed, 'Rest', so..the things that could be postponed I did and spent the time I would have on them praying and meditating on the Lord...It really is a lifestyle and I can tell you that I often don't know what the Lord is going to do but I have gotten to such a place of confidence in His care for me and my family that I know that so long as I'm actively loving my Lord and my brothers and sisters I will be kept in His will. If I need to make any adjustment in my life, I am giving Him place to speak/show me what they are. That is what so many dear christians miss. They are not letting the Lord respond to their request. He is always wanting to speak with us, He loves us so much. I love the fact that He used to go for His evening walks in the garden with Adam. You and I are 'Adam' and I know that the Lord is missing those walks with His children. He has so much to tell you!I hope this is a help to you Carmen.
