Message: Here's the deal....I now play the rhythm guitar in a praise band in a fairly large church. I am one of two rhythm guitar players along with an electric keyboard, electric/acoustic drums, a bass, and a small brass section. We produce a really great sound and are always looking to utilize all of our available options. Each person is well talented with their related instrument. But, as you can see, no lead guitar right now. My idea is to add some elecric sound to some of the songs we play to give that fuller sound utilizing some of the effects I have. I currently have the following Boss pedals in the listed order right to left looking at my board: Tuner, Overdrive, DS1 Distortion, Tremolo, Chourus, and EQ. I also possess an acoustic simulator and delay pedals. I am not looking to play lead. I am just looking for advice on utilizing the elecric guitar to play with the effects I have. I have already played the electric guitar with a few songs to include, "You Are My King(Amazing Love)", and "Lord Reign In Me" The tone sounds OKAY, but could be better I'm sure. I am plugged into the house line by way of a direct box into the pedal board. (I will say that the sound system is top of the line in the church) Any advice other than to just experiment during practices.
