Re: Please help the Youth
Message:I have never been in a Youth position at a church but this is what I have seen. We have a similar problem. This is just some random thoughts. Maybe you can take them and work out what to do. Teens having fun attract more teens. If you do not have adults in the 35-45 age range you will have few teens. This is the age of most parents when they have teens. If you have a teen group but no junior high group, in 3-4 years you will have no teens again. We have a huge childrens group but no reall junior high or senior high groups. we are in hopes that in 4-5 years the teen group will be huge. Our goal is to keep the childrens group large as well so that the cycle continues. If the cycle is broken it is hard to start again.
